15 year old building websites

So I just found this Kid ( I shouldent say that) He is a 15-year-old web developer. He has made other websites. That are pretty amzing.

I found him because of a site he just made called I-tunes Instant. iTunes Instant is basically a search engine for iTunes, which the creator said he made because, “Search within iTunes.app is extremely slow and cluster, I’ve never used it. So I use Apple’s Search API instead, and develop[ed] this app in less than three hours that will make your life better.” A quick test of the app reveals that it does work pretty well — a search for relatively obscure jams returned relatively accurate results in near real time. (However, it doesn’t quite work when searching for both artist and song.)

He writes on his blog titled “The Teen’s Point of View” http://blog.stephenou.com. He said it only took him about 3 hrs to make the websit. This is one smart kid. He has got alot for him.

So go on over & search for music & apps alot faster! http://labs.stephenou.com/itunes#

Android Live Broadcast apps

This week Justin.tv released there Android app. to publish LIVE from your mobile phone. (ios coming soon). With the release of this I thought it would be a great moment to look over the 3 most popular live streaming apps from the Droid phone I use. Keep in mind this is just my personal option. Your style or use for it could be different.

1. Justin.tv The sound quality is a little poor. This could be due to my camera not working 100%. I love that you can instantly have a tweet & fb post sent out. You can also chat with the live audience right from the phone. Great Great app & way to publish video to the web over 3G network.

Watch live video from grantmead on Justin.tv

2. Qik This LIVE streaming app works great to publish alot of videos online. You can upload to facebook & somtimes youtube. The downside is there no embeding option. You can only share with your twitter & facebook friends. If you want to publish video fast & simple this would be ideal. However if you are looking to have a LIVE audience & interact with them I wouldent use this streaming Live app.
{ To view the video go the link below}

3. Ustream This app is very good. There are two apps. One to stream to your live Channel & another to view live channels. Its great to have a viewer though there isnt much to it. The live streaming app offers very little option to & publishes very choopy slow video. Even once uploaded it is off on sound. Thats after recording @ 3 different times.

Android Market Down

Around 11:20PM CST I noticed that the Android market place was not working. I restarted my phone & it still didnt work. I contact about 20 or so other people who had a Android OS phone & they were having the same problems. I then sent out a tweet aksing others. It seems as though Other across the globe is having the same problem.

Definitely not a device issue, with all devices affected and displaying server errors, it has been down for at least an hr now . Users on twitter are speculating (hilariously) either terrorism or elite hackers. It's probably safe to say it's a bit more innocuous than that.

It has also been noted that some cannot watch youtube phone either.

What are you thoughts?

I have contacted android & google on this problem. Still waiting for a word back on it.

Android Facebook app gets upgraded

f you have been using Android for some time now, im sure you are quite familiar with the official Facebook application - which actually isn't that great.

The new app. being dubed version 1.3 is alot better then the previous old sluggish app that never worked
You can now respond to friend requests within the application - without the need of going to the mobile website. Another addition is the "picture timeline" feature which you will find at the bottom of the screen. It displays photos from your friends and updates it automatically as soon as new feeds arrive.
Check out the fb app. review video below & go upgrade yours
