Android Live Broadcast apps
This week Justin.tv released there Android app. to publish LIVE from your mobile phone. (ios coming soon). With the release of this I thought it would be a great moment to look over the 3 most popular live streaming apps from the Droid phone I use. Keep in mind this is just my personal option. Your style or use for it could be different.
1. Justin.tv The sound quality is a little poor. This could be due to my camera not working 100%. I love that you can instantly have a tweet & fb post sent out. You can also chat with the live audience right from the phone. Great Great app & way to publish video to the web over 3G network.

2. Qik This LIVE streaming app works great to publish alot of videos online. You can upload to facebook & somtimes youtube. The downside is there no embeding option. You can only share with your twitter & facebook friends. If you want to publish video fast & simple this would be ideal. However if you are looking to have a LIVE audience & interact with them I wouldent use this streaming Live app.

3. Ustream This app is very good. There are two apps. One to stream to your live Channel & another to view live channels. Its great to have a viewer though there isnt much to it. The live streaming app offers very little option to & publishes very choopy slow video. Even once uploaded it is off on sound. Thats after recording @ 3 different times.

Android Market Down
Around 11:20PM CST I noticed that the Android market place was not working. I restarted my phone & it still didnt work. I contact about 20 or so other people who had a Android OS phone & they were having the same problems. I then sent out a tweet aksing others. It seems as though Other across the globe is having the same problem.
Definitely not a device issue, with all devices affected and displaying server errors, it has been down for at least an hr now . Users on twitter are speculating (hilariously) either terrorism or elite hackers. It's probably safe to say it's a bit more innocuous than that.
It has also been noted that some cannot watch youtube phone either.
What are you thoughts?
I have contacted android & google on this problem. Still waiting for a word back on it.

How to tell u love internet
You find yourself typing `com` after every period when using a word processor.com
2. You turn off your modem and get this awful empty feeling, like you just pulled the plug on a loved one.
3. Your start introducing yourself as `John at I-I-Net dot com.`
4. Your wife drapes a blond wig over your monitor to remind you of what she looks like.
5. All of your friends have an @ in their name.
6. You can`t call your mother – she doesn`t have a modem.
7. Your phone bill comes to your doorstep in a box.
8. You laugh at people with 2400 modems.
9. You move into a new house and decide to Netscape before you landscape.
10. You refer to going to the bathroom as [downloading].
11. You tell the cab driver you live at: http://123.elm.street/house/bluetrim.html
12. Your spouse makes a new rule: `The computer cannot come to bed.`
13. You ask a plumber how much it would cost to replace the chair in front of your computer with a commode.
14. You start tilting your head sideways to smile .
15. You turn on your computer and turn off your spouse.
16. Your spouse says communication is important in a marriage, so you buy another computer and install a second phone line so the two of you can chat…”

Android Facebook app gets upgraded
f you have been using Android for some time now, im sure you are quite familiar with the official Facebook application - which actually isn't that great.
The new app. being dubed version 1.3 is alot better then the previous old sluggish app that never worked
You can now respond to friend requests within the application - without the need of going to the mobile website. Another addition is the "picture timeline" feature which you will find at the bottom of the screen. It displays photos from your friends and updates it automatically as soon as new feeds arrive.
Check out the fb app. review video below & go upgrade yours

Twitter & protecting your tweets
Privacy privacy privacy. The media & world scares us into believe bad things well happen if we post stuff online. Weather that is are twitter page to our Facebook or personal website. In some content there comes a point when you just start to think before you post. It’s a common theme some ads & organizations are trying to put out. If it’s not something you would randomly yell at Wal-Mart then don’t tweet about it. If you want to talk to someone without too much info getting out don’t write it on their Facebook wall. That’s like writing a message on Wal-Mart billboards & having thousands of people seeing it whenever they want to. But you say “Grant I have my Facebook on private” “Grant I have my twitter feed to not show my tweets” well guess what You’re not a social person with the world around you. You’re stuck in your own scared zone.
Before I follow someone on Twitter, I check out their profile page (assuming I don’t know them already). I read the bio, and I look at the person’s tweets to see if this is someone who will add value to my stream.(don’t want to follow junk or a teen girl’s relationship problems) From talking to others, this is common behavior. I want to follow a real person who has somewhat of my interest.
When I see this

I most of the time won’t even bother to send a request. Unless it’s a good friend I actually know.
So, for this reason alone, protecting updates makes it much harder to grow your network, even if you take the time to find people to follow.
Another downside of protecting your updates is that your tweets cannot be retweeted. This means that when you do say something wonderful or share great news, it cannot spread beyond the people who’ve cleared your blocked-hurdle. I have had this happen on many occasions. One of my friends who has a “protected twitter feed’ well post something I find interesting or just want to share with my fellow friends. Instead of just easily Retweeting it. I must copy it & then possibly have someone yell @ me for using there written material.
I do care very much who I follow, and I choose appropriately. When I run into a protected user, though, I’m blind. Again, most folks said the same thing: a protected user is unlikely to be followed.
Protecting your updates is a personal choice, and there are many reasons folks do it. Still, if one of your goals on Twitter is to build a network, you’ll be far better served by letting your tweets be visible to one and all. But if your just on there to yell random useless bits of info. Then maybe you should turn you page into protected mode for you can yell to a select few who follow you.
I don’t have all day to read endless tweets. I have to narrow down what I can read & engage in…that’s a whole different subject we could talk about later…how to use twitter without it using your time.
Do you protect your tweets? And if so… why? Or do you send requests to protected users all the time? Please comment below. Also I do know there are probably lots of grammar mistakes. I’m dyslexia so I try my best to proofread & edit. Please feel free to edit this & send it to me. I would totally cite you @ the bottom & forever love you so much.
